Following orthodontic treatment, the patient achieved proper tooth alignment but remained dissatisfied with the visual aesthetics — specifically, the dull overall tooth shade and a severely discolored upper left central incisor (tooth #21). To deliver a flawless, high-contrast yet natural-looking smile, a total veneer protocol with custom ceramic layering was executed.
Prosthodontist: Hlib Volodkevych
Restorations: 24 E-max Ceramic Veneers
Shade: Bleach 4 (High-value, bright aesthetic white)
Key Technique: Custom hand-layered porcelain application on the 4 front veneers
Initial Complaints & Diagnostic Findings:
1. Dissatisfaction with natural enamel shade after bracket removal.
2. Severe discoloration of tooth #21 (compromised central incisor aesthetics).
3. Patient's desire for a bright Bleach-shade smile without sacrificing natural tooth vitality.
Initial Status: Post-orthodontic status: Discoloration of tooth #21 and unsatisfactory tooth color
Treatment Steps:
1. Digital Smile Design (DSD): Formulating the new smile line and planning the optical density required for shade Bleach 4.
2. Tooth Preparation & Masking: Micro-prep within enamel layers. Application of a specialized opaquing protocol on tooth #21 to block the dark underlying stump.
3. Advanced E-max Fabrication:
- 4 Front Incisors: Crafted using a fine porcelain layering technique to replicate natural translucency, mamelons, and light reflection.
- Remaining 20 Units: Monolithic E-max veneers providing total arch harmony and seamless bite contacts.

Outcome: Complete aesthetic conversion. Tooth #21 discoloration was entirely masked, yielding a uniform, highly radiant Bleach 4 smile with lifelike depth in the front zone.

Veneers are a sparing alternative to crowns. They are installed on the front of a depulped or living tooth, provided that a sufficient surface area is maintained. Only a small amount of tooth enamel is shaved for better contact with the plate. Usually veneers are 0.3 mm to 1.5 mm thick.
E-max veneers, available at the Porcelain Dental Clinic, are a premium type of ceramic veneer. The combination of high strength and durability with excellent aesthetic properties makes E-max glass-ceramic veneers one of the most popular solutions for correcting cosmetic imperfections in the smile zone.
