Case Overview
A male patient visited our clinic seeking a complete smile makeover. The primary concerns included pathological tooth wear (abrasion), poor aesthetics, and a collapsed bite (loss of vertical dimension).
Before treatment
The patient’s main requirement was to achieve a result without orthodontic treatment (braces) and within a tight timeframe.
Lead Dentist: Mariia Imshenetska
Treatment Duration: 2 months
Number of Visits: 8
Step 1: Digital Planning & Preparation
Every major transformation starts with precise calculations. We performed Digital Smile Design (DSD), allowing the patient to preview and approve the final result before we even began.
- Endodontic Preparation: Root canal retreatment of teeth 46 and 47.
- Gingival Correction: To achieve a harmonious "pink aesthetic," a gingival margin correction was performed in the lower anterior region.

Step 2: Smile Test-Drive (Mock-up)
We implemented a long-term composite mock-up protocol. This allowed the patient to adapt to the new bite height and tooth shape in real-life conditions before the final permanent restorations were fixed.
Step 3: Phased Prosthodontics
To ensure maximum comfort and occlusal stability, we followed a two-stage fixation protocol:
- Phase One: Restoring the posterior (back) teeth to stabilize the bite.
- Phase Two: Finalizing the anterior (front) "smile zone."
Material: All restorations were crafted from high-tech Multi-layer Zirconia. This material features a natural gradient of translucency and shade, making the restorations indistinguishable from natural teeth.

Note: The treatment was performed on vital ("live") teeth, except for the previously treated 46 and 47.
Treatment Outcome
In just 8 visits, we achieved a result that typically requires years of orthodontic work. The patient received:
- Full rehabilitation of chewing function.
- Ideal anatomical shape and natural tooth color.
- A rejuvenating effect by restoring the vertical height of the lower third of the face.
